Mission

The mission of the Speakers Association of Hawaii is simple, yet profound.  To advance the speaking profession in Hawaii.  This is accomplished by providing opportunity for established and aspiring professional speakers to network, support and teach one another; and encouraging those who hire or interact with speakers to seek Hawaii based speakers as their first choice for meetings, conferences, seminars and training events.

History

The Speakers Association of Hawaii (SAH) was founded in 2001 by a small group of speakers who embraced the idea that when speakers support and teach one another we create greater opportunity for all.  Since then, the SAH has worked to advance the Art, the Business and the Craft of professional speaking through networking opportunities, supportive meetings and skill development events.

Through the years the SAH has attracted top talent – local, national, and international professionals – as presenters at meetings and professional development events. Many of our notable presenters are members of SAH. Through these events the SAH actualizes its mission to advance Hawaii’s speaking profession.

Current Leadership Team

The leadership team for the Speakers Association of Hawaii are periodically elected by the membership and serve without compensation.  They selflessly dedicate their time, talent and efforts to the betterment of the members of the SAH.
