Aloha Speakers,

I hope you are enjoying living and working in paradise. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events. Many thanks to Ed Rigsbee for another fabulous workshop! Rave reviews were given from all those who attended.

Our ethics presentation in September went very well. Dana Land was entertaining and informative. Since I had recently presented “Ethical Decision Making and Effective Communication” at a convention, I followed Dana’s presentation with a thought-provoking interactive discussion on ethics in the speaking business.

You would have enjoyed the discussion, especially the fascinating comments by two of our members who are police officers. Some questions we discussed: Are people ethical if they interact with people who are not? Are speakers ethical if they push their products more than their ideas? Are we there to help or to sell? What is the ethical thing to do if we are asked for our recommendation of a questionable speaker? How do we speak our truth while remaining positive?

For our next meeting on November 21, we are delighted to welcome June Dillinger. See the description below for information about her presentation.

Recently, while running in beautiful Manoa, I spoke with Alvin Wong, The Happiest Man in America, and his lovely wife Trudy. Alvin is a health care expert and motivational speaker. We are thrilled that Alvin will be the guest speaker for our holiday meeting on December 19, 2019 at the Pagoda Restaurant. More information will be coming.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and everything else, by learning the keys to happiness from the Happiest Man in America.

I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming Speakers Association of Hawaii events.

With warmest Aloha,

Annabel Chotzen, President
