Aloha Speakers,

Aloha Speakers,

We had an incredible gift this week with a wonderful presentation from Alvin Wong, the Happiest Man in America (see here). Surrounded by eager listeners who were absorbing every word from this wise man, Alvin told amazing stories with a sense of humor and joy. At times he asked for input from his delightful wife Trudy, who shared her vivid memories.

Alvin told us that the happiest people in the world feel well taken care of, they have dignity and self-worth, they respect each other, their history, land, culture, and traditions. They listen more than they speak. Happy people are willing to fail. They forgive themselves and others. They celebrate life!

As we begin the new year, we look forward to our annual meeting on January 23rd. We hope everyone will attend, both members and guests, to share your thoughts about how the Speakers Association of Hawaii can meet your needs and goals in the coming year.

Following the meeting, we are excited to have a dynamic workshop presented by Ron Cahoon (read more). With Ron’s guidance, we will each create a personal business model which harmonizes with our vision for what we want to achieve in 2020. Please see the workshop description below.

As I complete my first year as President, I want to thank my wonderful board of directors, the outstanding speakers, our members and guests for helping make 2019 a fantastic year. I look forward to learning, growing, and having lots of fun with you in 2020.

With warm wishes for a season that is memorable, meaningful, beautiful, and bright.

I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming Speakers Association of Hawaii events.

With warmest Aloha,

Annabel Chotzen, President
